WDHC is proud to announce that Zach Drane will be joining the Leafs as our Goalie Director. 

Zach Drane grew up playing Illinois hockey as a goalie for Team Illinois and Glen Ellyn Flames. He brings an extensive coaching knowledge with over 11 years of experience with several AA, AAA, high school and junior programs. Zach is a full-time goalie coach and is currently the Assistant Director for the Good as Gould Goalie School and Goalie Director for Team Illinois.

 

During his tenure, Zach has defined a unique style of coaching aligning to the need of the modern developing goalie. He has developed a strong understanding of on and off ice instruction, game video review and analysis and continual learning that is required to develop a well-rounded and skilled goalie. He brings insight, passion, positivity and excitement to his coaching approach that allows for him to build an amazing bond with all players. Zach understands the necessary commitment for success and dedicates his time and energy on a daily basis to developing and improving goalies.

  • Past clubs: Goalie Coach for Chicago Bruins Hockey Organization, Romeoville Huskies, Vernon Hills Ice Dogs, Chicago Cougars, Chicago Bulldogs, Winnetka Warriors Hockey Club, Admirals Hockey program, BGHW High School, Neuqua Valley High School, and Highland Park High School
  • Consulted for Tampa Bay Selects, Chicago Cougars, Team Illinois, Topeka Pilots, Milwaukee Admirals AAA program
  • National Exercise & Sports Training Association
