FUTURE LEAFS PROGRAM

We are excited to offer our Future Leafs program for the upcoming season, starting on Monday, September 9, at Canlan in West Dundee, IL. 

In a special effort to give back to our community, we are offering the Future Leafs program free of charge for this season.

The Future Leafs Hockey Program is designed for players ages 4-8 who are transitioning from a Learn to Skate program and aiming to advance into competitive Tier 2 hockey. This program focuses on developing essential hockey skills, providing a structured pathway from the Youth House League (YHL) to more competitive play. Our experienced coaching staff evaluates each player's level, grouping them accordingly to maximize skill development. The Future Leafs program also complements Canlan's rink offerings, ensuring a comprehensive approach to preparing young skaters for the next level with the Leafs Hockey Club.

PROGRAM FOCUS

• Skating techniques focusing on speed, power, & agility.
• Stickhandling and Passing to control the puck while skating.
• Shooting drills to develop proper technique, power, and accuracy.
• Game Preparation

Players will need to wear full equipment including the following items: HECC certified Hockey Helmet with Mask, Hockey Skates, Hockey Gloves, Hockey Pants, Hockey Shin Guards, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Guards, Hockey Stick
